BMW April 11, 2017

Set to debut at the 2017 Geneva Car Show, the i8 hybrid sports car will launch in two new colors, Protonic Frozen Black and Protonic Frozen Yellow. The i8 was first released three years ago in Ionic Silver, Crystal White, and Sophisto Gray followed by the Protonic Blue and Protonic Red.

Through January 2017, BMW has sold 4,464 i8s in the US alone and the new Frozen series is predicted to boost the number of i8s that will drive through the streets, thanks to the custom interiors that make the futuristic sports car even more personal and exclusive than ever before. The Protonic Black Edition is set to premiere early this year with the Protonic Yellow Edition following later in the year.

The BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition embodies unbeatable sportiness and futuristic aesthetics. In the BMW Individual Frozen Yellow colour scheme, the BMW i8 generates a similarly inspiring effect.

Inside the BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Editions, top-quality workmanship meets elegant sportiness. As soon as you open the door, your gaze is immediately drawn to the door sill finisher emblazoned with the respective, exclusive lettering. Other eye-catchers include the dark NESO seats with woven yellow and anthracite stitching and the headrest with the embossed BMW i8 logo. A strikingly attractive contrast is created by the seat belt in grey. The gear shift lever and central operating element in ceramic design, combined with the classic driver orientation create a high-tech atmosphere– for even more style and driving pleasure.
